Preventing Tobacco Industry Interference: FCTC Article 5.3 Toolkit (2015), published by SEATCA (Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance) and Health Justice Philippines, is designed for advocates and policymakers focused on protecting tobacco control measures from interference by the tobacco industry. Based on the guidelines for implementing Article 5.3 of WHO FCTC, the toolkit presents a range of issues, policy options, and considerations as countries develop their Article 5.3 implementation efforts. The toolkit describes the guiding principles of Article 5.3 and steps for its effective implementation as well as common practices and motives the tobacco industry uses to interfere. A case study of the Philippines is included.
