Disposable Vapes: Dangerous, Damaging, and just Dumb
March 05, 2024
The United States throws out 4.5 disposable e-cigarettes (also known as vapes) every second. If they were laid end-to-end, they would cover 11,200 km (7,000 miles)—more than twice the width of the U.S.
Single-use e-cigarettes are toxic to the planet. Their batteries are made from mined minerals and their structure is made of plastic. They cannot be reused or recycled. Disposable electronics, including e-cigarettes, should not exist.
