The Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction (CoEHAR)

The Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction (CoEHAR) describes itself as a “unique multidisciplinary center focused on the study of Tobacco Harm Reduction.” Founded in 2018 by Riccardo Polosa in Catania, Italy, it is one of several such “centers of excellence” set up with funding from the Philip Morris International funded-Foundation for a Smoke-Free World (FSFW). In total, it received over $12 million in funding from FSFW between 2018 and 2022.
