Consejo Nacional de la Industria Tabacalera

The National Tobacco Industry Council (CONAINTA) is a Mexican tobacco industry association consisting of Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco and Japan Tobacco International. Between them, these three companies account for virtually all licit cigarette sales in Mexico. CONAINTA has opposed tobacco control measures such as the display ban and restrictions on smoking in public places.
